haley.henry is a wine bar in the heart of Downtown Crossing. Established in 2016, it is a magical place, where laughs are had, plans are made and neighbors come together to toast one another's health. It is meant to educate, to inspire & to introduce new wines and experiences to whomever walks through the door.

Haley fortier

Owner/Operator 

Haley Fortier brings over 15+ years of industry experience to the business & was recently named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s2019 Sommeliers of the Year”. Her passion for small production wines & tinned seafood, paired with a very scarce  Boston wine bar scene, gave her the motivation to bring something truly unique to the heart of Downtown Crossing.  haley.henry wine bar has gained national press, most recently being named a semifinalist for the second year in a row, to the 2020 James Beard Awards.

 A real t-shirt & jeans type of gal, Haley enjoys sipping dirty martinis seaside. Her dog often mistakes her for a much taller, less hairier dog and elderly people often mistake her for a man. She wears a size 11 sneaker and is a premier veteran breakdancer. Follow her life on Instagram @tin_and_gin

Hanna Lauerman

General Manager

A dad to many and a father to none, Hanna Lauerman has been working at nathálie wine bar since 2018. Recognized for her sartorial choices and choices repertoire, she would definitely like to talk about where she got those pants. In her off-time she is a reader, a dungeon master (not in a weird way), and indulges in the occasional video game. In her on-time, she enjoys ice-cold Riesling and piri-piri tinned mackerel, a preference agreed upon by her bad -smelling cat and her good-smelling girlfriend. Kathryn Britten

Executive Chef

Kathryn Britten sailed over to us through the oyster-driven waves of Duxbury, Ma. After attending The Culinary Institute of Charleston, she remained in South Carolina for 15 years, working her way through the culinary scene in multiple sushi restaurants throughout the city. She returned to Massachusetts largely due to her love of New England and her disdain for hot, southern temperatures. 

She is an avid coca-cola drinker, who detests water. Her favorite movie is Casablanca; and although most people would assume that we are talking about her kitchen skills we are actually referencing her instrumental skills when we say she plays a mean “spoon”.
